Dear Grandpa Great

Dear Grandpa Great,

I only remember one thing you ever said to me.  It was, “Do you laugh and cry when you read?”

I told you yes.

And you said, “Then you are a good reader.”

Well, Grandpa, today I made myself cry while writing  a story.  I think you would tell me that that makes me a good writer.  I hope Grandma Great would agree with you.  I hope the story I wrote that made me cry gets put in a book somewhere, sometime.

And I hope other parts of my stories that I write will make me laugh or cry as I write them, too.

See you in heaven,
Me
